Raspberries are in Season

When I took the puppies out for a walk the other day, I spotted this fellow having a snack. He is a rose-breasted grosbeak -almost looks like he has raspberry stains on his chest!
This bird is a beauty. We see his baby at the feeder constantly. I hope he knows how to get food in the wild as well.

It looks like he is a messy eater! But still a very pretty bird.

Always love seeing these flashier birds when spring starts, usually around May.

Really beautiful bird and excellent photos.

I've never seen one of these birds "in the flesh".
